For Heaven’s Bake has a core group of a dozen cookie recipes that have been passed down from my maternal grandmother, who was legendary for her Christmas cookies. Because of this, most of the cookie varieties I bake are not commonly made today and have a singular quality not found in other bakeries. Since I use heritage recipes, my cookies are classically sized, as they were in the 1940s and ‘50s — smaller, and more suited to snacking or enjoying responsibly.
Aside from cookies I also sell brownies, tarts, and cakes. All are made with fresh, all-natural ingredients, such as unsalted butter, fresh fruits, and the highest quality chocolate. All my baked goods are full of rich tastes that can only come from hand-mixing and small-batch baking. I personally make everything I sell—there is no mass-production—using recipes I have gathered over the years and modified to make my own. I can proudly state that my signature Triple-Chocolate Brownies won first prize in the 2009 Hamilton County Fair.
